It is a major challenge even today to provide enough to supply the nutritional needs of populations in the poorest countries around the world. In Mali, hundreds of men and women farmers in the regions of Bamako-Koulikoro, Ségou, Sikasso and Mopti are organizing and professionalizing their practices with assistance from the Feere Diyara project (Success in Commercializing), an initiative run by the Alliance agricole internationale (CECI, SOCODEVI and UPA DI). The goal is food security.
