SOCODEVI porsues activities in Morocco
After completing a diagnosis of the situation for forestry cooperatives in Morocco, SOCODEVI is pursuing its work in this country as part of a new mandate aimed at improving its partner organizations’ knowledge of the cooperative model. Training conducted by our cooperative development advisers is being carried out within the Haut-Commissariat aux Eaux et Forêts et à la Lutte contre la desertification, as well as with grassroots cooperatives.
“We are working on strengthening the skills of leaders and members of the cooperatives. We hold basic training on cooperative principles, and cooperative governance and management. By improving understanding of the cooperative entrepreneurial approach, we are setting up favourable conditions for these organizations to become successful enterprises for the benefit of their members,” says Richard Trudel, SOCODEVI Program Officer.
SOCODEVI activities in Morocco are financially supported by a European Union project that is managed by NIRAS, a Finnish company.
